WIU School of Agriculture receives research equipment donation

A three-row corn head and four-row planter were just two of the pieces of research equipment and spare parts Western Illinois University’s (WIU) School of Agriculture recently received from Wyffels Hybrids. The equipment will help the students streamline planting and harvesting next year.

Edgar County Watchdogs raise flag over Atlanta library lease deal with trustee

The board of the Atlanta Public Library was slated to meet Dec. 14 to consider an agreement to lease part of the library's Union Hall to library board member Bill Thomas, which is illegal according to the Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act, a posting on the Edgar County Watchdogs website said.
