Memorial Hospital Foundation is marking two significant milestones this year: the 75th anniversary of Memorial Hospital and its own 10th anniversary. The Foundation reported that over the past year, its charitable efforts have focused on improving health and wellness in local communities.

The Foundation highlighted its support for the Together We Grow Endowment Campaign, which is intended to provide a lasting source of funding for Memorial Hospital. The campaign accepts various forms of contributions, including property, bequests, life insurance policies, stock gifts, certificates of deposit, and planned giving. According to the Foundation, these endowment funds are important for the continued growth and expansion of hospital services as healthcare changes.

In addition to endowment fundraising, the Foundation continued its Grow Our Own Scholarship Campaign. This initiative offers financial support to staff members who wish to pursue further education in healthcare fields.

The Foundation also announced that the Celebration of Lights event will return in December 2025 at the Hancock County Courthouse Square. This year’s event will feature 75 trees in honor of Memorial Hospital’s 75 years, along with lighted displays, arches, and stars available for sponsorship. The Lighted Parade is scheduled for Thursday, December 4th at 6:30 pm.

Memorial Hospital Foundation operates as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and is a subsidiary of Memorial Hospital. It supports Memorial Hospital, Hancock County Senior & Childcare Services, and surrounding communities. Additional information about the Foundation’s work and ways to contribute can be found at https://linktr.ee/memorialhospitalfoundation.

"We take pride in celebrating Memorial Hospital’s 75th anniversary, while also marking our own 10th anniversary. These milestones provide an opportunity to reflect on a legacy of excellence in local healthcare and inspire us to consider how we can continue to strengthen and secure the future of local healthcare for years to come," the Foundation stated.
