Following this, they will participate in the Jimmy Grant Invitational on December 9, hosted by the University of Iowa. The remainder of their indoor competitions is scheduled post-winter break in mid-January 2024.

Lommel breaks Western Illinois' long-standing school record at Iowa State meet
The Western Illinois track and field teams participated in the Iowa State Alumni Meet, where junior Logan Lommel broke the school's 1500-meter record with a time of 3:48.31. The previous record was set at 3:49.85 by Jeff Reed in 1992. This achievement adds to Lommel's collection of four individual school records and six total, including relay records.
